Sweet Candy Table Linens

2 Jun

Have you heard? June is National Candy Month! It’s silly, but there are so many good memories in life that involve candy. What’s really interesting though is to see what a worldwide industry candy has become and how it’s now a part of so many of the celebration events that I Do Linens services.

This special month got us thinking about the candy tables and bars we’ve been a part of. It got us really excited to share some of our favorites (and their linens of course!) from events over the years.

And should you find yourself craving something sweet after you’ve looked over the “event eye candy” below then we recommend you visit Dylan’s Candy Bar. If you’re not familiar with Dylan’s Candy Bar, they have a New York City location that’s 15,000 square feet – making it the world’s largest candy store! Just one more yummy example of just how integrated candy has become in our society.

The cuteness of this candy & dessert station makes us go “beep beep, boop beep!” The Platinum Circles linen playful brings the sci-fi theme to life with it’s shapes and color.

Atlanta Weddings Magazine – Grand Romance

14 Mar

We recently had the opportunity to be part of the creative vendor team for an Atlanta Weddings Magazine featured shoot at the Ritz Carlton Atlanta. It was a delightful setup as we were able to showcase both modern and traditional looks for tables. Enjoy the photographs of the tablescapes as captured by The Decisive Moment Photojournalism that day!

Bringing Downton Abbey to the Bridal Extravaganza

12 Feb

Getting creative with talented vendors is one of I Do Linen‘s favorite things to do.  And, for the recent Be A Bride Bridal Extravaganza Atlanta show and the NACE Atlanta Design Trends tabletop event, we had the opportunity to partner with one of the most creatively inspiring teams of vendors we’ve worked with in a while! The concept theme for the partnered table was chosen unanimously and based on the PBS period drama, Downton Abbey.

Our tablescape was set to portray an afternoon social luncheon for the ladies with a men’s smoking parlor just a whisper away. For those that follow the Downton Abbey series, they understand the magic the series brings to the small screen – the historical locale, the aristocratic interiors of the mansion, the beautifully made costumes, and the artfully crafted acting. Bringing that magic to our tablescape was a collaboratively fulfilling experience.

“By basing our theme colors on Blush and Mauve, we were able to portray a timeless elegance.” shares I Do Linens owner and designer, Tamara Gollob. “We brought in the bold statement of an I Do Linens ombré damask wrap on the dance floor (beneath the vignette) that grounded all elements.”

“The core of the tablescape design began with the main table which was set with a custom linen made from our Mauve Shredded Rose and Blush Lust fabrics. We draped the sofa and bench seating in gray Glenn Check wool fabric, balancing the design with just the right amount of masculinity. Centerpiece elements were non-traditional – plums, feather plumes, a dainty boudoir clock and apothecary jars filled with classic pearls. We hope attendees that viewed our contribution to these events took home  a little piece of Downton Abbey and a big piece of the heart we put into designing it.”

We had so much fun making the party linens for a Betsy Johnson inspired Bat Mitzvah. Three custom looks were made and we also custom designed the kiss-skull print seen above. Let’s just say there was a lot of sequins, tulle, glitter, and hot pink involved for this special occasion! More photos of the party can be found here
