Tangerine Willow Swirling Through My Mind

27 Feb

Our I Do Linens team is always delighted when we bring in new fabrics and linens. But with the new TANGERINE WILLOW reversible linen there’s a whole new level of excitement that we just can’t contain!

To share in the excitement, we’re offering a special rental rate through the month of March on this particular linen. Just $25/per linen for the 132″ round size. Rental reservations are limited – so reserve quickly (especially for SPRING & SUMMER events). For the special rate all reservations must be contracted by end of March. However, usage of the linen is up to December 31, 2013.

Bringing Downton Abbey to the Bridal Extravaganza

12 Feb

Getting creative with talented vendors is one of I Do Linen‘s favorite things to do.  And, for the recent Be A Bride Bridal Extravaganza Atlanta show and the NACE Atlanta Design Trends tabletop event, we had the opportunity to partner with one of the most creatively inspiring teams of vendors we’ve worked with in a while! The concept theme for the partnered table was chosen unanimously and based on the PBS period drama, Downton Abbey.

Our tablescape was set to portray an afternoon social luncheon for the ladies with a men’s smoking parlor just a whisper away. For those that follow the Downton Abbey series, they understand the magic the series brings to the small screen – the historical locale, the aristocratic interiors of the mansion, the beautifully made costumes, and the artfully crafted acting. Bringing that magic to our tablescape was a collaboratively fulfilling experience.

“By basing our theme colors on Blush and Mauve, we were able to portray a timeless elegance.” shares I Do Linens owner and designer, Tamara Gollob. “We brought in the bold statement of an I Do Linens ombré damask wrap on the dance floor (beneath the vignette) that grounded all elements.”

“The core of the tablescape design began with the main table which was set with a custom linen made from our Mauve Shredded Rose and Blush Lust fabrics. We draped the sofa and bench seating in gray Glenn Check wool fabric, balancing the design with just the right amount of masculinity. Centerpiece elements were non-traditional – plums, feather plumes, a dainty boudoir clock and apothecary jars filled with classic pearls. We hope attendees that viewed our contribution to these events took home  a little piece of Downton Abbey and a big piece of the heart we put into designing it.”
